Behind the Vent and Behind the Crew: Insights from Amongus Transportation

For both Crewmates and Impostors in our industry, getting into space-trucking can be exciting, overwhelming, and honestly a little sus. For our founder here at Amongus Transportation, it started with a lifelong fascination with navigation, O2 maintenance, and long-haul logistics across the Skeld. Growing up around the cargo bays, he saw how resources moved efficiently across the galaxy and noticed opportunities to improve the experience for the crew.

That led to the launch of our MC: a Crewmate-first trucking company focused on safe routes, predictable bean-payouts, modern scanners, and professional growth with a fleet that’s never "in electrical" for too long. It sounds simple enough, right?

The Early Sabotages

When Amongus Transportation first launched, “paying your dues” meant securing contracts while avoiding being ejected into the vacuum. Progress often felt like walking through a fog of Comms interference, but persistence was key. Challenges taught our team that the trucking business requires constant adaptability especially when a teammate goes missing. We’ve learned that obstacles are just tasks waiting to be finished to improve our systems and relationships.

What Fuels Our Engines

What keeps us going is knowing we make a real impact on our drivers’ lives. Every small win like a perfect manifold sequence builds toward something bigger. Running a business without a backup plan (or an Emergency Meeting button) forces creativity. Loving the industry and aligning work with your values makes the grind manageable, and finding joy in the day-to-day operations is how you stay "not sus."

Where We Are Today

Amongus Transportation is thriving with a growing fleet, strong broker partnerships, and a crew that isn't constantly looking over their shoulders. Our Crewmate-first culture goes beyond the paycheck; we focus on safety, support, and making sure nobody gets left behind in Navigation.

We use modern tech solutions to stay ahead:

  • AI-Powered Logistics: Predicting the best routes through asteroid fields.

  • Real-Time Tracking: We always know who is in MedBay and who is at the loading dock.

  • Automated Dispatching: Streamlining operations so you can focus on the drive.

Lessons Learned from the Skeld

  1. Trust your team, but verify: Use the security cams. Clear communication and accountability are essential.

  2. Fuel flow is king: Even the best deals can stall if your cash (or O2) isn’t managed. Purpose must always align with the work.

  3. Listen to your drivers: They are the heartbeat of the ship. Pay them well and advocate for them never let a good driver get ejected.

  4. Don’t fear the "Defeat" screen: Mistakes are just lessons in disguise. We’ve all accidentally vented once or twice; what matters is coming out better on the next round.

  5. Celebrate the wins: Whether it's a long-haul delivery or surviving a round, make your team feel seen and heard.

"Early mistakes are inevitable like scheduling a pickup at the wrong Mira HQ warehouse but accountability and humility turn those errors into XP."
